🌍 The SIG leads met in Brussels on October 6th! 🌍

It is Saturday (October 7th), and I am returning home from Brussels. I use this opportunity to say thanks to all SIG leads! We had a great meeting!

:arrow_forward: Dorian Karatzas welcomed us, highlighting a growing interest and relevance in NERQ. He stressed that #researchintegrity and #researchethics are foundational concepts and should be emphasized.

:arrow_forward: Seven special interest groups of #NERQ presented their work from the last few months, and we were all impressed with how much you already achieved. Great job!

:arrow_forward: We discussed NERQ’s three aims

  1. Exchanging good practices: experiences, formats, ‘what is happening
  2. Stimulating quality of training/trainers in the field
  3. Encouraging collaborations on research-based innovations in education

:arrow_forward: and collected plans on how to proceed in the future.

We decided
:one: to submit a COST proposal in October 2024,
:two: to organize training retreats and workshops,
:three: to balance collaborations with others,
:four: to organize a NERQ reception or meet and greet at the #WCRI2024
:five: to - :exclamation: always :exclamation: - name NERQ when work originated from or is organized in NERQ (e.g. in proposals, publications, workshops)
:six: that each SIG group describes in a short post their actions for the next six months so that all NERQ members know what is going on!

:star: I feel a bit light-hearted, maybe because I will embark on a plane or because I understood yesterday that NERQ is relentlessly pushing with little steps toward research quality and, in reality, having an impact! Thank you, all.

:pen: Unfortunately, we were late in taking the “obligatory” picture. You can see that we had a very good spirit. However, this is not a meeting picture it is more the closing group leaving the building as the last :grinning:
