The BEYOND project has published its inaugural policy brief, which addresses the socio-economic impact of research misconduct.
Research misconduct is a growing problem, which affects the credibility of research, can harm researchers, public trust in science and have a negative impact on different aspects of social and economic life.
The policy brief emphasises the need for mitigation measures to be taken, in order to minimise negative impacts and maximise the beneficial socio-economic impacts of research.
It also advocates the promotion of a culture of integrity at individual and institutional levels.
