NERQ SIG Academic Integrity Policies: Review of 2024

• 22-04-2024 Presentation Mary Davis and Irene Glendinning - Stop focusing on overall similarity & discussion (15 attendees) .

• 23-05-2024 Round table, PUPP/ENAI/CSAI conference Ottawa, Canada.
• 2-5 06-2024 Dr Sonja Bjelobaba represented the SIG at 8th WCRI Athens.
•12-09-2024 Catch up, round table, ideas for future meetings (5 attendees).

• Nov-2024 Horizon funding application submitted by Özgür Çelik, Balikesir University, Türkiye Overarching objective: “To establish a robust foundation for understanding the current and emerging use of AI in educational assessment through two complementary studies: a systematic review and an exploratory qualitative research study.”
• 11-12-2024: Violeta, policies developed at Munster Technological University, Ireland; NAIN network and current challenges.

Plans for 2025

• Prof. Sarah Eaton and Dr. Irene Glendinning accepted invitation to write book chapter for OU book, published by Scottish Universities Press, 2025. Book title: Designing university policies for GenAI. Chapter title: Revising university policies to accommodate Artificial Intelligence.
• Abstract for ENAI conference, Uppsala June 2025 from the SIG/WG.
• 28-01-2025 15:00 GMT Dr Özgür Çelik (Türkiye) research results, FAITH project.
• Feb 2025 Prof Angelos Rodafinos (Greece), Training chat bots to guide students and staff on institutional procedures and policies.
• 14-02-2025 NERQ virtual conference.
• March 2025 Dr. Deanne Cobb-Zygadlo, Nazarbayev University, policies in Kazakhstan
• Further monthly meetings will be scheduled during 2025, with a break for summer.
• Support for Dr. Özgür Çelik on feedback on for Horizon application.

Membership of the NERQ SIG on Academic Integrity Policies
The NERQ is also the ENAI working group on academic integrity policies. Group leaders Dr Irene Glendinning & Prof. Sarah Eaton. Currently 34 members, from: Canada, Saudi Arabia, UAE, UK, Kosovo, Türkiye, Hungary, Ireland, Ukraine, Portugal, USA, India, Latvia, Spain, Greece, Sweden, Angola, Jamaica, Kazakhstan.
