we are happy to share our achievements so far!
Since May, with Julia Claire Prieß-Buchheit’s lead, we are working on the main objective for our #SIG_OS: Development of the #OpenScienceLearningGate with the premise of #ResearchIntegrity as an overarching umbrella!
The following steps have been initiated since then:
Conclude on #OS learning principles, recognizing hashtag#RI as an overarching umbrella for future capacity building for OS
Identifying and collecting representative educational OS materials tailored for relevant stakeholders (defined by #EOSC —> LinkedIn)
Screening for #ethical and #RI deliberations (also due to the intersection of OS with #AI)
Create a sample collection of OS educational materials for OS stakeholders that will be represented in the #OpenScienceLearningGate
During the September conference’s workshop (Julia Claire Priess-Buchheit on LinkedIn: Open Science Learning Gate) Susana Magalhães (for researchers) and Eva Hnatkova (for institutions, funders, publishers, governments and policy makers) presented their #training programs and initiated a fruitful brainstorming on #OS #learning #principles for respective stakeholders from the RI perspective.
We are currently deepening this topic following @FAIRsFAIR’s (2020) conclusion that the #metadata of educational resources is one of the most challenging but high-priority aspects of making educational catalogs #interoperable.
At the Brussels conference in October (Sign Up | LinkedIn) Edyta Sikorska and Dorian Karatzas hosted an impressive meeting where we discussed the status quo of #NERQ presenting all #SIGs, the future activities and strategies, visibility, sustainability and opportunities both – from #NERQ’s as well as from EC’s perspective. We were impressed by Dorian’s appreciation of the SIGs’ energy that keeps #NERQ on going and thus transforming the research culture by improving the quality of research and education, while he acknowledged that NERQ (and with this all SIGs) has established an identity in the European research landscape.
